Cause seems #crowdstrike, a service to protects against attacks which turned into a vulnerability.
Several airports shut down, eg Berlin BER.

One of the worst cyber threats is not just external attackers, but hiring an IT manager who has already been convicted of intrusion and data theft and who even blackmailed two of his former employers to secure a lucrative severance deal and unemployment benefits.
