In fact, in 2025, let's throw out the term "Early Intervention."

It is inherently ableist. It is medical-model bollocks.

Let's pivot and use the term "Early Support" instead.

Hear and feel the vibe difference in it? Where it leads you?

What's infuriating about healthcare in the US, other than everything, is that we've actually never had a "healthcare debate." We had a prolonged health INSURANCE debate - i.e. paying for care - but never a conversation about what care ought to be.

Nope.

The federal government needs to step in. We can’t have privately owned prisons in Australia. This thing needs to end.

Prisons are an essential government service. They can’t be run for profit.

This is absolutely unreal. We’re moving backwards. Why wouldn’t we test newborns to catch potential health concerns early—when intervention can make the biggest difference? It’s basic, life-saving public health.

I consider depression to be risk factor for car accidents at all ages. Other studies support that relationship.

Yes, we all would benefit from better mental health.

#Prevention #EarlyIntervention #Treatment
There is more ambiguity. From the article, prior studies showed a link between depression and increased car crash risk regardless of age. We might all benefit from socially acceptable and supported easily accessible mental healthcare.
