3/ Decreased coagulation factor production, thrombocytopenia, & increased fibrinolysis heighten bleeding risk. Yet, reduced protein C, protein S, & antithrombin, plus vWF accumulation, tilt the balance toward thrombosis. This isn't captured in INR and Plt counts.
I understand that the FDA decision on Fitusiran is expected on March 28th, 2025. Fitusiran is an si-RNA against antithrombin and is said to "rebalance" hemostasis in hemophilia A and B.
