Ride-hailing company inDrive, known for its fare negotiation model, has announced plans to test autonomous vehicles in Kazakhstan starting in 2027. The company is collaborating with Chinese autonomous driving firm Pony.ai and technology giant Nvidia to bring robotaxis to its platform. The testing will begin in Astana, Kazakhstan's capital, during the first half of 2027, initially with safety operators on board, with fully driverless rides as the long-term goal. Pony.ai will provide its Gen-7 robotaxis, which will be integrated into inDrive's app, while Nvidia will supply its Hyperion platform and Halos safety system.
