☕😏 i get that it's not about the science anymore
for a lot of people;

if that's true for you then
feel free to ignore any of this,
of course,
& maybe we'll see you
on the flip side of that,, 🤙🏼😷

New study. Researchers found that the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein binds to fibrin, a blood protein that forms clots, leading to the formation of abnormal blood clots with increased inflammatory activity in patients with Covid-19 and Long Covid.

The rise of the KP.3.1.1 variant, which along with KP.3, accounts for most of Covid cases in the US summer wave now
It has a decided growth advantage, with higher infectivity and immune evasion compared with prior SARS-CoV-2 variants

☕😶 seems a lot of people
are desperately trying to preserve
this absurd attitude
that pretending away forced infection & severe sickness
by the people "above" them
is acceptable & normal

the sense of desperate powerlessness this reflects
is so sad; pitiable ,,

☕😶 another 59,073 confirmed #Covid19 deaths
in just the last 12 months ...
over 1.19 million total deaths
(& these are likely very significant undercounts)

still no sterilizing vaccines
still no cure for #LongCovid conditions

but pretending "normal" 🫠

Important new report on the heightened risk of autoimmune diseases (AIRD) after Covid, not flu.
—From >10 M people in Korea; >12 M in Japan
—Significantly increased risk for Covid vs no Covid, Covid vs flu.
—Vaccination protection (~50%) vs AIRD
—Covid ≠ Flu

How long are you contagious with COVID-19?

Here's what the science says:
➡️ Most people are infectious for ~10 days
➡️ ~80% of people test positive for 5 days after symptom onset
➡️ Only ~30% of people who test positive have a fever
➡️ Presence of symptoms is an unreliable indicator of infectiousness

Latest Biobot data shows U.S. COVID wastewater levels are rising again, and higher than they have ever been compared to the same date in previous years.

In other words, COVID levels are still high and taking longer to go down after this winter's peak. Keep taking precautions.

Something notable from this chart comparing U.S. COVID wastewater levels by year, is that we've never seen levels this high at this time of the year! (indicated by the black line representing current levels, crossing the blue line representing Omicron levels in 2022)
