The last "new" Buddhist fables about the story of how the Buddha actually DID return to his wife who threw a FIT when he returned (imagine, Bollywood Indian actress freaking out!). However, she WAS OUTNUMBERED, and so she "became" a monk herself! These fables are fun and enriching.
