We had a pretty big scare with Gingerbug this week. Thankfully we have more time with her and I couldn’t be more grateful 😭❤️
Gingerbug update:
Prognosis is fairly good. She has a torn mitral valve cord. She’ll be on some meds for a bit but the overall 12 months or so. She’s 13 years old so that’s huge.

Ginger bug & turmeric bug (hopefully). They are basically starters (like you have with a sourdough starter) which you can then make probiotic sodas out of. I don't drink alcohol anymore so wanted to try making some more interesting drinks as most soft drinks are too sweet #gingerbug #fermentation

Ok... Tried making soda with the gingerbug several days ago. This is attempt number 2 and it's immediately more active looking! Here's hoping!
