Ethical review doesn't stop at the initial green light! 📝

Ethical review is an ongoing responsibility, not just a one-time approval! Researchers must report protocol amendments, new risks, deviations, or study completion to their IRB.

Imagine spending years researching tech fascism…

Then watching somebody publish a book while the internet asks ummmmmmm🤔🙄

The bibliography deserves its own investigation Doesn't it? 👀

Satire aside: How should journalists credit earlier researchers?

As researchers, we have a responsibility to publicly challenge unfounded claims targeting the communities who made our work possible. If tenure is supposed to provide security to speak up, the silence of those who have it makes me question its value.

I recently reviewed two new NIJ funding calls that I find deeply troubling, not only because of what they ask researchers to study, but because of how they fit within the Trump administration’s broader changes to federal research funding.

A prestigious appearance does not necessarily guarantee a journal's reliability. Judging a publication based solely on its website design or ISSN number can be misleading. Comprehensive verification is required before submission. kaynakcadogrula.com #AcademicPublishing #ResearchEthics

Especially the members of the ethics committees, who have ignored so many of its articles

Focusing solely on similarity percentages in Turnitin or iThenticate reports is a mistake. The critical factor is not the total percentage, but where and how matches occur. Common terms in literature reviews are low risk, while matches in findings are critical. #AcademicWriting #ResearchEthics
