This would be how Eucast recommends reporting a susceptible staph - I meaning "suceptible - Increased exposure"? All oral cephalosporins are reported I for staph. Is your lab using Eucast breakpoints?

We also have the efficacy question.
In my center we use EUCAST for susceptibility testing, whose MIC breakpoints are more restrictive than CLSI’s.
So, we use cefepime just for strains with lower MICs than our american colleagues, probably favoring PK/PD target achievement

BTW, EUCAST breakpoints are set for a dose of 400-500mg TID, so you’re sort of covered no matter what you’ve got to hand.

1G-Cephs only thing as good as ASP for serious MSSA infection, I don’t see why that wouldn’t be the case here.
More worrying (maybe) would be a lack of S.pneumo breakpoints for 1G-cephs (see pic; green = has a EUCAST breakpoint); but I figure if it covers BHS/AHS it probs covers pneumococcus too
