Blebbisomes are large, organelle-rich extracellular vesicles with cell-like properties

🔘 Form with functional mitochondria.
🔘 Are distinct from large oncosomes.
🔘 Contain multiple organelles.
🔘 Secrete exosomes and microvesicles.

Selective Packaging of Rotavirus Double-Layered Particles into Host Microvesicles

RV infection strongly increases host microvesicle production, and these vesicles are enriched for DLPs even though the intracellular viral population is dominated by TLPs.

Selective Packaging of Rotavirus Double-Layered Particles into Host Microvesicles
Rotavirus is a non-enveloped RNA virus traditionally thought to exit host cells through lytic or conventional vesicular pathways, but recent evidence shows that it also exploits host microvesicles for...

✨OLFM4 (cnt'd)✨

One study showed a complex relationship between EBV infection, OLFM4 & gastric cancer. OLFM4 was induced by EBV infection! OLFM4 is a target gene of the cGAS-STING pathway, and EBV infection activates that pathway, increasing OLFM4 expression. 🧪 🧵
