End of an era. #Zilog EOL'd the #Z80 over two years ago, now parent IXYS/Littelfuse issue EOL notification for all MCU lines. Got my first Z80 in a #ZXSpectrum in '83 then #SAMCoupe in '93. Made my own Z80 stuff since late 90s. Designed industrial equipment with eZ80 in 2003, plus co-pro on SAM.

RomWBW works surprisingly well with these boards, considering this is a pretty isolated ecosystem that's pretty far disconnected from the usual RCBUS fare. It's honestly about as smooth as it is on my SC126, though I haven't tested support for the zFDC or anything yet.

If you want to build something "retro", then the RC2014 (and derivatives like RCBUS) systems are a good way to start. A fully functional Z80 system running CP/M is easy to build as there are no difficult surface mount components to solder.
