Every normal democracy works like the first graph: if a certain party gets a certain percentage of popular vote, they get that percentage of seats in parliament. The UK system is weird and the USA system plain undemocratic.

In 1926, an architect named Margerete Schütte-Lihotzky sat down with real housewives and timed exactly how far they walked to cook a meal, then engineered a kitchen to cut that distance in half. Her design, built into 10,000 homes in Frankfurt, was the first kitchen ever planned as a single connected workspace rather than a random collection of furniture, with every shelf, bin, and counter placed exactly where a working hand would need it next. I was offered a random day off due to an overstaffing mistake and took it. I decided to have fun with the pets.
