"Why don't people like me?"

Growing up with undiagnosed ADHD, I struggled to keep friends. I always ended up being "too much" for people.

Too loud. Too weird. Too annoying.

But after all this time, I finally realized—I don’t have to make myself smaller to be worthy of love. ❤️‍🩹

Stimulant misuse rates in ADHD treatment range from 2-29% but context matters.

Factors like short-acting prescriptions, prior medication use, or a history of substance misuse can increase risk.

Data like this remind us it’s about understanding complexity.

October is #ADHDAwarenessMonth. I was diagnosed in December of 2021. It's nice to know that a lifetime of only getting your shit together at the last minute has some science behind it. If you have that friend that is super smart but struggles to get simple things done, cut them some slack.
