New England where I live is famous for Atlantic cod that becomes around 6.5 feet. The meat is really thick and has mild taste, so great for stew like Japanese style curry.

Michelle Valliant and Guðbjörg Ásta Ólafsdóttir spent the past month sampling sperm, eggs, brain tissue, and blood in Akureyri for the CODSPA project to study stress in spawning Atlantic cod.
