Asking for info for someone newly diagnosed and another already Dx and treated about to move to Scotland.

If already medicated successfully will this continue without hassle?

If needing specialist referral where are the services?

Aware of POTsUK discussions.

Getting an experienced Con to do thorough testing and assess/trial meds is a postcode lottery with whole sections of the country not covered. The waits even if you have one in your area are considerable. See POTSUK website for details.

And we should also be mentioning other #IACC like chronic Lyme's, gulf war syndrome, etc. and to my mind also the very common comorbidities of #PoTS and #MCAS. I think it is insane that the PotsUK website mentions exercise as a treatment for PoTS without ever mentioning #PEM

If this happens to anyone you know refer to POTSUK website, check out #ME diagnostic criteria (Dx of exclusion means Drs need to do the work to actively exclude other causes) and the ME NICE guidelines.
Preferably complain about such nonsense and insist on a referral to POTS specialist service.
