Yang's work on #amyloidbeta filaments from meninges is now out. A reminder that it is better not to build atomic models de novo into #cryoEM reconstructions of #amyloids at resolutions lower than 4A.

Although neurons are the main producers of amyloid beta, oligodendrocytes also produce a significant amount of the protein which is incorporated into plaques. #neuroscience #Alzheimer #amyloidbeta #oligodendrocytes
