Yeah….apparently ExpressScripts only checks your allergy list after you start your medication. By 2022 I was on a bunch of contraindicated medications and no pharmacist or doctor even discussed it with me…..like I’m glad I can let go of anger cuz I sure do have good cause to have some.

They never should have been one entity. CVS/Aetna, Optum/UHC, ExpressScripts/Cigna. Big three insurance companies in bed with big three PBMs was/is an economic disaster. I was an insurance broker when these acquisitions began. We saw it coming. Don’t know how anyone couldn’t have.

Try ExpressScripts mail order. Also, why will a pharmacy <cough Safeway/> start filling that prescription if they know they don't have enough to keep providing it to you and when you try to refill they won't be able to give you an ETA?

Arkansas passed a law last year giving pharmacies the authority to sue PBMs for underpayments. Twelve independent pharmacies are now the first to take advantage of the new enforcement mechanism.

ExpressScripts tried to send me the safety needle this time. If their needles weren’t so crap I would have pulled this one out when it was obvious I hit something. I don’t bleed often. They sent a thicker gauge needle and I tried new batch. Don’t think I nailed the IM part today, just SubQ B12

ExpressScripts 2/2. Yearly costs you use when selecting a PartD plan are apparently useless since costs can go up without limit (~9X in my case) with no warning at anytime.
How is it that the USA has the most expensive, least friendly, poorest outcomes (especially if you’re not rich) health care?!

1 more go w/ ExpressScripts-told "Medication prices can fluctuate based on several factors, such as the total cost a pharmacy had to pay the manufacturer when the supplies are restocked. Because your copay on future refills may change, please come back and price before your next refill. 1/2

So we need EOBs to submit the reimbursements. We get the meds from ExpressScripts, who happens to BE the pharmacy for the secondary insurance. They ship it out but refuse to charge the secondary insurance to THEMSELVES.
They require EOBs to get a refund. But it take 14 days to get one.

That's frigging infuriating. That's why I prefer prescription by mail stuff like ExpressScripts, but I have no idea if that's even a thing in Australia.

Been waiting 45+ minutes at the pharmacy for a COVID booster and flu shot ahead of my trip to New Zealand in 2 weeks. Expressscripts and Aetna disagree on coverage but I'm willing to just pay so I can get out of here. This whole experience really explains why the whole medical industry needs to go.
