昨天收到ukbiobank的緊急郵件,說分析平台暫時全部暫停。點進去看到CEO給全部的參加者發了信,數據發生洩漏,正在調查,向他們致歉。我還在猜是什麼情況。結果今天早上看到,是中國研究者在鹹魚上出售UKB數據。

According to the Guardian, a scientific racism group may have been granted individual level accress to the #UKBiobank cohort.

This is not "in the public interest".

We need a serious review of the governance and leadership of UK Biobank.

So Palantir a private US data company has access to NHS England patient data & now 500,000 UKBiobank volunteers’ biomedical data & medical histories is on sale on Chinese websites. Meanwhile at home the UK needs to use all our assets to grow science & science businesses.
